BOARD of DIRECTORS’ MEETING MINUTES

May 14, 2024

Debbie Lee called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. A quorum was not initially had.

Brent was called, via phone, later in the meeting.

Minutes Approval: The Board members in attendance went over the minutes of

April 9th

.

Treasurer’s Report:

• The April financial reports were reviewed and discussed.

Public Comment:

• None

Office Managers Report:

• Jeannine apprised the Board members in attendance of the SDA Regional

Workshop on June 21st, 8:00 – 12:30. Debbie, Chief, and Jeannine will be

registered to attend.

Chief’s Report:

• Chief reported on Tyler Bell passing his National Registry for EMT, along

with Liberty,

• Vista De Oro HOA had their fire mitigation day, where the Chief opened

Station 5 for their luncheon. All agreed it was good community outreach.

• The Chief gave the Board a walk through of Station 1 to see improvements,

and the repaired apparatus and gear obtained through grant money. Ginny

also has spoken for playground equipment being replaced at the FLME school

this summer, if the Board is interested in it relocating to the Station 1

Unfinished Business:

Action Item Review:

• Statewide reimbursements for backfill from the passing of SB22-238 &

SB23B-001, were noted as having been received and were discussed. They

totaled $57,197. Legislation for tax reduction created shortfalls in revenue

to special districts. Instructions of the Board were reiterated of the

decision made in last month’s meeting, that backfill money will be put in

savings.

• Item #357 Backflow testing was completed and updated to next year date.

New Business:

• Brent was called and he along with Debbie and Ginny approved the

membership packet of Iesha Lujan.
