FLM Radio Repeater Site

Saturday, June 9, 2012 – The Fort Lewis Mesa Fire Protection District Radio Tower provides VHF radio coverage for the greater part of our district. The area in and around the tower needs periodic maintenance to make sure the road is passable and the area is defensible in the event of a wildland fire. A small group of our folks made their way up to the tower and within a short amount of time cleared large swaths of defensible space around the tower and outbuildings.
