BOARD of DIRECTORS’ MEETING MINUTES
December 10, 2024

Debbie Lee called the meeting to order at 6:45 p.m.
All stood for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes Review: After Ginny motioned and Ted seconded. The minutes for the November 12th Board meeting were approved.
Treasurer’s Report:
• The November financial reports were reviewed, discussed, and approved.
Public Comment:
• Debbie asked the Visitors if they would like to address the Board. They said they would not.
Office Managers Report:
• Jeannine and Debbie went through questions the HB24-1302 legislation requires taxing entities to submit answers to (along with the Certification of Tax Levies) tax rate information for Real Property Owners.
Chief’s Report:
• The Chief noted that Michael O’Donnell attended the CWCP Meeting held at EOC. Debbie said that attending was good for visibility.
• The Chief reported that the rain gutters had been completed.
• The EMT Basic Course offered in May has two seats open.
• The FFI in Jan. or Feb. will have L. Sheek and M. Silverman attending from FLMFPD.Meeting Minutes FLMFPD Board 12/10/24 Page 2 of 3
• The Chief expressed appreciation for the Christmas Party/Awards Banquet attended and all that went into it.
• Firehouse Subs grant funds have been received. The Thermal Imaging Cameras have been ordered.
• Chief said that they hope to apply for a 5% cost share AFG Grant for 750K to purchase a Type 3, Wildland Engine.
• The Chief also reported his intention to apply for the SAMSA Grant to fund medical supplies and Lucus Devices. It has a March time frame.
• Chief said the ambulance is expected to have a July delivery.
• The rolling quarter saw 23 Responders.
• Chief reported on the Resource Order payments being delayed.
• Reindeer Games training is happening on Thursday.
2025 Budget Hearing
• The Budget Hearing was held and the Districts Budgets were adopted:
Resolution 2024-1201: Resolution to Adopt 2025 Budget
Resolution 2024-1202: Resolution to Adopt 2025 Pension Budget
Resolution 2024-1203: Resolution to Set Mill Levies
Resolution 2024-1204: Resolution to Appropriate Sums of Money, were all Adopted after a Motion from Ted and a second by Ginny. Mill Levy calculation -11.827 Mills; Tax Revenue-$652,537.47
Unfinished Business:
Action Item Review:
Item #s 374, 375 & 376 will be redated to 2025; #294 was cancelled; #s 364, 372, and 380 were marked complete. Item #383 was added: Long Range Plan Work Session was scheduled for March 10,2025 @ 2:30pm. Debbie will put together the packets.
• SAFER Staffing grant is open
• AFG Grant was discussed earlier in Chief’s report.
• There was discussion of the Disease Prevention Grant ($0 cost share) to acquire an Air Monitoring device.
New Business:
• Scheduled Shift Reduction by $50 was approved with a motion by Debbie and seconded by Ginny. The Increase of the pay did not increase participation. This reduction will be effective as of 1/1/2025.
