Treasurer’s Report:
• The December financial reports were reviewed and discussed. Brent moved to accept; Ted seconded. The financial reports were accepted.

Public Comment:
• Ginny asked the Visitors if they had anything they would like to bring to the Board. Garrett Vogel said, in his opinion, Fort Lewis Mesa Fire PD wouldn’t have enough staffing to make a licensed Ambulance transport work. Ginny said that preparing for the future needs of the district is the intent and that even though licensed, the district is not required to become an official transport until ready to do so. Garrett also stated that he didn’t see a need to get a grant to for a Type 3 engine. Ginny asked the Chief he would like to address the comment. Chief Lee said that the grant funding would be replacing one (a 1983Type 3 engine) of the two Type 3 engines, already owned by the district. Travis Schmitt said he didn’t see why the Board planning work session scheduled for March shouldn’t be open to the public. Ginny said that it is a work session where no decisions are made.
• Jeannine read an email from a volunteer (who works at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango) to the Chief, relaying the message from the family of a patient they had responded to on an EMS call. The family had expressed appreciation for the FLMFPD responders who had shown up to help their family member. They had praised the swiftness to arrive and number of responders that showed up.

Office Managers Report:
• Jeannine stated that the Transparency Notice had been updated and filed with all appropriate government entities as well as being posted on the district website.
• Jeannine had the 2025 Budget Package for Ginny to sign. Which will then be filed with the state.

Chief’s Report:
• The Chief reported that the Winter Academy had two classes that were attended and were completed.
• The Four Corners Academy is March in Ignacio.
• FFI with Durango has no time set yet.
• The Chief noted that the Grant they are applying for, for air monitors is open and a $0 cost share. The 5 sets of structure gear from a previous grant have been received. The jackets have some redoing needed and are being done.
